About Us: Meet the Family Behind Ryan Does 3D

Ryan Does 3D started as a hobby with a single printer and a lot of late-night ideas, and has since grown into a full-blown family affair. Here's a little break down of who is behind the brand...

Ryan
The product developer, printer, admin, customer service rep, and quality control department (he wears a lot of hats and usually some PLA flakes). If you ever need any help just know you're speaking to the very friendly and extremely knowledgable name-sake.

Liz (that’s me, Ryan’s partner) handles all things design. From the graphic design to the website to the marketing. So if you’ve ever wondered why Ryan’s hand in a photo looks suspiciously feminine… that’s me!

And then there’s Margot — age 2 (almost 3). Our parcel shop runner, sticker passer, packaging assistant, and self-appointed quality checker. Every item gets the Margot seal of approval before it leaves the house. She isn't on the books but we pay her in sweets from the parcel shop and endless prints of toys. 

Why We Do What We Do

We started Ryan Does 3D so we could spend more time together as a family, be more creative, and turn our shared love of nerdy, nostalgic, and niche things into something others could enjoy too.

We’re also tired of how disposable everything feels and how hard it is to find something well made that isn’t bad for the planet or ridiculously overpriced. That’s why we work with eco-friendly PLA plastic, design things ourself, and produce each item with less waste and more care by printing on demand. So just know, if you ever order anything, its been printed just for lovely old you. 

What Makes us Different

We’re still very much a new business, we only set up shop in November 2024, but that means you’re here at the start of our journey. We’re building a shop full of quirky, well-made products that are fun, personal, and designed to last.

Got an idea? Something you wish existed in 3D form? Tell us! Some of our bestsellers (like the Gamer Keychains and Booknooks) came from working directly with our customers.

How We Make It

Everything we sell starts with something we love. A book, a game, a joke, or a moment of “wouldn’t it be cool if…”

We 3D print, clean-up, and finish each item by hand (with help from Maggie Moo, of course). Then we package it up with care, pop to the parcel shop (Margot insists), and send it off to wherever you are in the world.
